February is African American AIDS Awareness Month, and The Chattery and Society of Work are teaming up with Chattanooga CARES for the latest Cinematics to show deepsouth. deepsouth is a documentary film about the neglected HIV/AIDS crisis in the rural American South. Beneath layers of history, poverty, and now soaring HIV infections, three Americans redefine traditional Southern values to create their own solutions to survive.

The film screening is sponsored by Chattanooga CARES, a Chattanooga nonprofit whose mission is to reach, assist, and support people impacted by HIV, Hepatitis C and STIs through compassionate and responsive delivery of education, health, social, and advocacy related services.
